We bought a new Ranger Tugs R27 in the spring of 2011. It is a 27’ diesel powered trawler that is well equipped with radar, GPS, autopilot, AC/heat, generator, bow/stern thrusters, propane stove/oven, and a head with shower. It has a 100 gallon fuel tank, 40 gallon water tank, and 30 gallon holding tank (for the head). Top speed is nearly 20 knots and high cruise is about 14-15 knots. Economical cruise is around 6-7 knots where fuel burn is slightly over 1 gallon per hour. We named her “Little Debbie” and keep her at the Harbor Light Marina in Warwick Cove, Rhode Island.
